This page is where property owners with lead service lines can sign up for a lead service line replacement by submitting a Right of Entry form.

Providence Water Accelerated Lead Service Line Replacement Program

Providence Water is using federal and state funding to replace lead service lines for free.

All customers in Providence Water’s distribution system are eligible for a free lead service replacement. Providence Water will replace as many lead service lines for free as funding allows.

Visit our Lead Service Line Location Map to learn if you have a lead service line. Enter your address in the search box. If your property has lead or unknown material, you can sign up for replacement.

Sign-Up for Lead Service Line Replacements:

Step 1: Are you the property owner? Only property owners can sign-up for a lead service line replacement. Tenants may not sign up. If you are a tenant, please let your landlord know about this program.

Step 2: Property owners, click “Register Here” in the green box, and enter your name, contact information, property address, and Providence Water account number.

Step 3: After submitting your information, you will receive an email with a link to log into your leadCAST account. Click this link and enter your email and password you created in step 2.

Step 4: After logging in, you will see an option to complete a Right of Entry form. Click on this form, fill out your information, and then submit. Once completed, you will be signed up for lead service replacement at your property.

Once you complete your Right of Entry form:

We will check to see if your address is in a planned construction contract and will reach out via email with this information. Construction contract areas are determined based on factors such as:

  • Disadvantaged areas
  • Density of children, schools, and licensed childcares facilities
  • Areas with a high concentration of lead service lines
  • Coordination with other municipal construction projects
  • Funding Requirements

Properties in planned construction contracts will receive an estimated timeline for their free replacement. You will receive schedule updates about every 3-6 months until your address is scheduled for replacement. Construction contracts can be several months to years long.

Properties outside of planned construction contracts may be included in future contracts under the replacement program, as funding allows. If your address is outside of a planned construction contract, we will provide information on other replacement funding options. We will notify you if your address is added to a future construction contract.
