For the 2020 Construction season (Late-March through November), 62,000 linear feet (almost 12 miles) of Providence Water Distribution Mains will be rehabilitated in 3 service areas in our system (Blackstone, Providence; Charles, Providence; and Auburn, Cranston).  Permanent restoration will begin in the Blackstone section of Providence; the Edgewood section of Cranston; and the Marieville section of North Providence (south of Mineral Spring Avenue).

This work may disrupt normal traffic and require temporary by-pass water service connections for customers.  These projects are part of Providence Water's Infrastructure Rehabilitation Program to reinvest in our system, replace and rehabilitate aging infrastructure, and continue to provide reliable, safe and clean drinking water to our customers.  If you have any questions regarding these projects and need to speak to a representative please visit our Contact Us page.
