If your property has a lead service line, or if the material of your service line is unknown, you received a letter in the mail from Providence Water.

Providence Water is required to send letters annually to properties with lead service lines or lead status unknown lines to comply with the EPA’s Lead & Copper Rule Revisions and the Rhode Island Lead Poisoning Prevention Act.

If your service line material is known to not be lead, you did not receive a letter.

If you have a lead service line, please visit our lead center to learn more on the health effects of lead, how to reduce lead exposure and opportunities to replace your lead service line.

If your service line material is unknown, please visit our quick guide to determine your service line material and report your service line material to our Water Quality department.
